This Privacy Policy describes how ELMMLY LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use 2hearted (the “Service”).

What We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information: Email address, display name, and authentication provider (Google or Apple sign-in).
Personality assessment responses: Your answers to personality questions used to generate your profile.
Preferences: Date preferences, budget ranges, dietary restrictions, preferred times, and scheduling cadence.
Scheduling data: Calendar availability (if you connect Google Calendar), date history, and reminder preferences.
Usage analytics: Page views, feature usage, and navigation patterns (collected via Google Analytics 4 with your consent).
Device information: Browser type, operating system, and screen size (collected anonymously for service optimization).

We do not collect location data, messages between partners, financial account information, or health data.

How AI Uses Your Data

2hearted uses AI to enhance your experience in the following ways:

Personality profiling: Your assessment responses are analyzed by AI to generate a structured personality profile. Raw responses are purged within 1 hour of processing — only the structured profile is retained.
Compatibility analysis: AI compares both partners’ profiles to identify alignments, complements, and navigation tips.
Date suggestions: AI uses your combined preferences, budget, dietary needs, and past date history to recommend date ideas.

Important:

AI processing uses a local language model (Ollama). Your data never leaves our infrastructure for AI processing.
We never train AI models on your data without your explicit consent. AI Training consent is OFF by default.
Your data is never shared with your partner without your consent. Each partner controls their own data visibility.
All data sent to the AI is sanitized — names are replaced with “Partner A/B,” emails and phone numbers are stripped.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: View what data we hold about you (available in Settings > Privacy & AI).
Export: Request a complete export of your data in machine-readable format (ZIP containing JSON files).
Deletion: Delete your personality profile individually, or request full account deletion with a 30-day grace period.
Opt-out of AI profiling: Disable AI Personalization at any time in Settings > Privacy & AI. Your existing data is preserved but AI features are disabled.
Opt-out of AI training: AI Training consent is OFF by default. If enabled, you can revoke it at any time.
Opt-out of analytics: You can deny analytics consent, and we will not track your usage beyond anonymous aggregate data.

Third Parties

AI processing (Ollama): We use Ollama, a local language model that runs on our infrastructure. No data is sent to external AI providers for processing. Your relationship data never leaves our servers.
Google Analytics 4: With your consent, we use GA4 for product usage analytics. GA4 operates in Consent Mode v2 — without your consent, it collects only anonymous, aggregate data with no cookies. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
Authentication providers (Google, Apple): We receive only your email and display name from sign-in providers. We do not share data back with them.
Infrastructure providers: Our servers are hosted on standard cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

Children

2hearted is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. This service is not directed at children and does not fall under COPPA requirements.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Right to know: You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal information.
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) Disclosure

2hearted uses automated decision-making technology in the form of AI-powered personality profiling and date recommendations. Specifically:

What it does: AI analyzes your personality assessment responses to generate a profile and suggest compatible date ideas.
What data it uses: Personality assessment responses, stated preferences, and scheduling patterns.
How to opt out: You can opt out of AI profiling at any time by navigating to Settings > Privacy & AI and toggling off “AI Personalization.” Opting out will disable AI-powered features while preserving your existing data.

This disclosure is provided in compliance with California’s ADMT regulations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days’ notice before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
